Tonight--I'm spinning here with DJ Linje for Scanners (Dim Mak Records) and their video shoot for the upcoming single "We Never Close Our Eyes" (great song!) at The Roxy. Also performing is Sky Ferreira, who's featured on the Bloody Beetroots' Romborama album and an upcoming Steve Aoki track. Mark The Cobrasnake will be at the helm of music video director.
Doors at 7pm, it's 18+ and best of all, free! More details on the Facebook event page.
Just wanted to link some blogs of my homies showing love and posting my lastest mixtape The Situation this past week.

If you haven't been to this site before, fakeRICH is Mykal--party photog/music blogger/promoter who covers everything between OC to LA, loves Asians & Latinas (from what I've concluded) and knows how to have a good time. You can find plenty of party debauchery in the galleries on top of music downloads and interviews with up-and-coming artists that mean something.

A newer blog co-run by Jefferson of Barracuda (on Melrose Ave.), it covers forward-thinking style & fashion plus the latest indie sounds blowing the lid off of music's hype machine. They've got some surprises & wearables for sale coming soon in their shop (a work in progress). Keep watch in 2010.
These links send you to said posts of my mixtape, but you can roam around and check out the overall content respectively. One Jah!
Back with another quick burst of nu disco/indie/house beats! I couldn't wait for the next Disco Desire, I had to include some nu disco from Cecile & Venice, Tensnake and Jackpot. Also skipped over the Jesse Rose track a while ago, but I recently rediscovered it--fidget house at it's best. Lastly, another Primary 1 x Riton collab to close out the mix. Are ready to face The Situation?
TRACKLIST:
1. Plus Devıce - Body Heat
2. Yazoo - Sıtuatıon (Hercules & Love Affaır Remıx)
So I was just on The Hype Machine and noticed they posted their final results for top songs/artists/albums compiled via music blog submissions. I almost forgot I submitted my list last month. Three of my selections were counted among their Music Blog Zeitgeist's Top 50 Albums list. Check out the links below and see the entire list for yourself:
To welcome in 2010 on the blog, I give you volume three of Disco Desire. I think it's definitely the more amourous mixtape of the three (I didn't anticipate so many love songs, disco made me do it!).
There's a couple of DFA tracks (Walter Jones, James Curd) and Morgan Geist-related cuts (Margueritas, Metro Area), some newer finds (The Revenge, Tensnake, 40 Thieves, Ilija Rudman), and of course I couldn't forget the classic jams (Chic, Kitty Grant's Chas Jankel cover, Was Not Was, Space, Boney M).
